Privacy Notice

Effective 7 October 2026

Who we are

Weaves by Lery is operated by Weaves By Lery Limited, No. 14A, Bayo Dejonwo Street, off Aderibigbe Shitta, Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria. We are responsible for our use of the personal information described here.

Our CEO handles enquiries and privacy requests. Contact weavesbylery@gmail.com with a privacy question or request.

Browsing and contacting us

This is a catalogue and enquiry website. Online purchasing, accounts and newsletter sign-up are unavailable. The disabled contact form does not collect, save or send your details.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and request times. Hosting and security logs may record this information. See Vercel's privacy notice.

Product searches run in your browser. Search terms appear in the page address and may reach hosting logs when that address is loaded or refreshed. Please search for products or styles, not personal information.

If you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or Instagram, we receive the messages, contact details and attachments you choose to share. Opening a contact link does not itself send us a message, but the external service may process information about your use. Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, identification documents or sensitive personal information for a general enquiry.

Why we use information

We use enquiry information to answer your questions and, where you ask us to, take steps towards a purchase. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping the website secure, or necessary pre-contract steps when applicable. We may also process information to meet a legal obligation.

We do not sell enquiry information or add you to a marketing list just because you contact us. Access is limited to people authorised to handle the enquiry. Recommendations on this catalogue are not based on a personal customer profile.

Service providers

We use Vercel for hosting and Gmail for email. Communication services such as WhatsApp and Instagram have their own terms and privacy practices. See Google's privacy policy and WhatsApp's privacy policy. We may disclose information when a valid legal obligation requires it.

These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside Nigeria, including in the United States. Their processing and retention arrangements are separate from our handling of enquiries. Vercel describes its arrangements in its Data Processing Addendum.

Retention

Our enquiry policy is to keep information only while needed and normally delete ordinary closed enquiries from active business accounts within six months of the last meaningful contact. Style-reference photos and videos are ordinarily removed within 30 days after an enquiry closes, and spam within 30 days of identification.

The CEO is responsible for monthly reviews and clearing deleted material from business-controlled recovery folders within a further 30 days. We keep a minimal record of a completed privacy request for up to 12 months. A legal requirement or genuine dispute may justify keeping relevant records longer. Purchase and accounting records are handled separately. You can request earlier deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.

Deleting an active message does not necessarily remove every backup immediately. Hosting logs and provider-controlled backups follow their own retention arrangements; we do not promise a fixed deletion period for those systems. Any retained backup copies are not intended for ordinary enquiry use.

Cookies, music and video

This catalogue has no application-added advertising trackers or visitor-analytics scripts. Sound starts only when you turn it on. The sound preference is kept in memory for the current page session, not in an application cookie or browser-storage record, and resets on a full reload.

Website music and videos are hosted files, not embedded YouTube or Instagram players. Your browser may cache them. Hosting security features and external services may separately process information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email our privacy contact; we may reasonably verify your identity. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

We will update this notice as the website or our information-handling practices change.
